Tours of the 555-acre farm and leisurely tastings are part of the tour. Finish the tour at Thanksgiving Farm Winery in Harwood to sample six of their fine wines.
Leaf Peeper Wineries
Autumn winery tours begin at Bluemont Vineyards in Bluemont. Outside food isn’t allowed, but they serve cheeses, meats, bread, and a Sunday brunch. Twin Oaks Tavern Winery in a stone house in Bluemont has views of the Shenandoah Valley. Plan on lunch at Hunter’s Head Tavern for traditional pub-style food.
